During a span of two decades, Ms. Lloyd managed and produced dance and theatre programs throughout the U.S. She served as Producing Manager of the Theatre & Dance Programs with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) Cultural Olympiad. She was responsible for the negotiations and implementation of all theatre and dance programs for the 1996 Olympic Arts Festival (OAF) — the largest most comprehensive arts festival ever presented in conjunction with the Modern Olympic Games. The OAF presented several world premieres in theater and dance. Prior to joining the OAF management team, Ms. Lloyd worked with a number of Atlanta-based corporate and government entities including the Fulton County Arts Council, Georgia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Arts Exchange, and the NBAF, while providing expertise as a creative consultant/program manager.
Carol’s background in the arts and entertainment arenas include being en pointe with a multitude of expertise in management and production from various arenas. With a specialty in high end birthday celebrations, Carol’s passion for excellence provided the impetus to mobilize committees, communities and individuals to effectively produce numerous first class signature events. In 2009, she served as Executive Producer/Campaign Director of the “Yes We Care” Campaign to Save and Restore Morris Brown College; Executive Producer/Souvenir Program Guide Specialist — “Narratives of My Life: A Spiritual Journey” 85th Birthday Celebration and Symposium; Program Director/General Manager — “Youth Arts Initiative” at Atlanta Preparatory Academy. In 2008, she served as Executive Producer — “When Obama Wins (WOW), What’s Next?”; Souvenir Program Guide Specialist/ Sponsorship Development — “Denver Jazz & Blues Festival;” Researcher/Writer — CERD Shadow Report — United Nations “Hate Groups: Mainstreaming of the Far Right.” She served as Executive Producer of the 22nd Annual International Dunham Technique Seminar — while producing the first issue of the “Dunham Technique Legacy Series.” A consummate special events producer, Ms. Lloyd served on the planning committee as Event Manager for Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri’s All Star Weekend & Celebrity Birthday Bash that encompassed a weekend of exclusive events at various venues throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. A committed arts veteran, Ms. Lloyd has worked with a wide range of community-based arts and entertainment entities to promote the arts and culture in our society.
